Note from the Executive of PT: Denunciations unmask the coup plot

In the note, the Executive of the PT charges immediate withdrawal of Michel Temer, Direct Elections Now (Diretas Já!) and calls militancy to ingage in the mobilizations

NOTE FROM THE NATIONAL EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE OF PT

The denunciations against the usurper Michel Temer and several of his allies, including senator Aécio Neves, national president of the PSDB, definitively unmasked the coup plot.
Irrefutable and material evidences prove the corrupt nature of the coalition of forces that has seized power and has imposed on the country an agenda of anti-popular, anti-national and antidemocratic “reforms.”
To make them viable, especially the ill-fated liquidation of social security and labor rights, Temer government resorts to the most harmful physiological practices, the provision of bribe and the misappropriation of public resources. All to meet the demands of the market and pay the bill to the great capital that put him in the presidency.
The country can only overcome the current crisis with the immediate withdrawal of Michel Temer and his antisocial “reforms” and the convening of direct elections now.
We call on our militancy to engage in the direct mobilizations already called by the Frente Brasil Popular and the People’s Front Without Fear, starting with the day of fights next Sunday, May 21, throughout the national territory.
We call upon the unity of all progressive and democratic forces to end the usurper government and its unpatriotic reforms, demanding that power be returned to its sole sovereign, the Brazilian people.
There will be no democratic exit without the universal, free and direct vote.
Any attempt to impose solutions without new direct presidential elections will represent the continuation of the coup against democracy.
